| Christmas is Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. For millions of Christians throughout the world it is the happiest and the busiest time of the year. No one knows the exact date of Christ's birth but most Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25. Children write letters to Dad Moroz and tell him what presents they would like to get. Many department stores hire people to wear a Dad Moroz costume and listen to children's requests. People send Christmas cards to relatives and friends. Many companies give presents to their employees.A Christmas tree is one of the main symbols of Christmas in most homes. Relatives and friends may join in trimming the tree with lights, tinsel, and colourful ornaments. Presents are placed under the tree. On Christmas morning, families open their presents. Many children believe that Dad Moroz arrives on Christmas Eve in a sleigh pulled by a reindeer and brings presents. Some children hang up stockings so Dad Moroz can fil
l them with candy, fruit and other small gifts..Many people attend church services on Christmas morning. They listen to readings from Bible and singing Christmas carols.

Carnival is always well marked in Russia. Peter I opened the festivities in the capital Pancake at the Beautiful Gate. |  New Year is a big festival in the Russia. Russian celebrate is in 31 December. People is exchange gifts, set off fireworks, cook special food and have a family dinner. Different and nice dish are popular foods on this day.

| I want to tell how in Russia celebrates International Women's day – Eighth of March. In our country this day all women, girls and grandmothers. Men buy women presents and flowers and boys make gifts with their hands. On the morning of the daddy and sons cook for the holiday table. On the put the cake, sweets and champagne. All women beautiful dress and get presents. The man will do that to a woman. On a TV show interesting films about women and concerts. Boys presents at school teacher, girls and all women who are in school.
